Justin Alexander. I die.

I can't help but love a tea length, tulle-tastic gown. I could be
happily buried in this. Lace. Yes, please!

Dress.

The dress.

Completely obsessed with Monique Lhuillier.

Completely.

Color.

Colors. The dilemma: I haven't quite decided what season I'd like to have the wedding in. So, I'm going to choose colors and that will dictate what month we will wed. An outdoor reception is a must. Thankfully, Texas winters are mild and the weather should be bearable early March to November.

I like the idea of a deep purple with different hues of green. White gerber daisies are inexpensive and would fit in well with the chic country theme.

Although I'm not a fan of roses, I love love love sunflowers. Ignore the arrangement, focus on color!

Ooooooo pink. Chris would love it! This is how I would describe Spring in color

Lighting.

The latest idea. Lighting.
I've decided on an outdoor, evening reception. I like the rustic feel of votives in mason jars. Originally, I wanted to use mason jars and/or vintage tea tins for the centerpieces but I'm leaning towards using them for lighting.
So, I have the groom, the location and lighting. It's a start!

...and so it begins.

Well, I suppose I should start by explaining the purpose and goal of this blog.

On October 14, 2009, the most amazing man I've ever known asked me to marry him. Yes, I, the girl who was in fear of always being the bridesmaid, will now be the bride. So, now, the planning begins... right?

Here's what I have:
* The groom
* The location

...and so it begins.

We plan to have the ceremony in a small, historical church in Edna, TX. I grew up camping at the park, Brackenridge, and Chris spent time there as a kid as well. Most of his family still lives there. So, it works.

I've decided on a casual, country theme. No, I don't mean 4-wheelin', beer drinkin' country...

Help, please!
